The Tag Solar system is designed to facilitate Solar Panel manufacturers in setting up their PV module inventory with the latest tracking system in order to comply with the latest government mandates.
Research on this project tells us, as per the guidelines and Technical criteria mentioned in the document by the ministry, each PV module required to generate a stipulated wattage of electricity, needs to be enabled with a RF tag. This RF tag will fulfill the requirement of tracking the PV modules within an array of modules inside the power generation plant. As per the mandate the RF tags need to be pasted /encased by the PV module manufacturing and supplying agencies.

The RF tag along with the other RFID components (handheld readers and software) will track and identify the PV module that has developed a snag and hence is generating lesser energy than required.

The Solution:

• The Tag Solar system includes specialized passive RFID tags designed to be used with PV modules and to endure the life cycle of installation and deployment.
• Handheld Reader to scan the tags on the panels and identify the ones which are not performing up to the desired level.
• The Software will store data of the modules into a database along with the IV curve readings and will facilitate to trace the manufacturer in case of any malfunctioning of the modules.
